This article will show you step by step how to remove PC user account in windows 8 & 10. so many computer users think the only way to remove a user account is by formatting the entire personal computer system, but that’s not the truth because there’s always been a good way to remove a user account from windows 7.
Remember that you can only remove the user account that was created after your operating system was installed, you can’t remove the administrator account. The only way to remove administrator account is to format the PC.
I will be explaning using windows 8 operating system but note that the same method to remove PC user account in windows 8 also applies to windows 10 OS.
From windows 8 start environment, go to your “control panel”. If the view by option of your control panel is set to ‘large icons’ you’ll see the background below. ( I will also advice you to set your PC control panel to be view by large icons because it’s much easier to understand and navigate through the control panel with this option).
Click on User Accounts
Note: You must use administrator account to remove PC user account.
It will take you to your administrator account, click on ‘Manage another account’.
Choose the user account you want to remove.
On the new window of the account you want to remove, click ‘delete the account’.
Windows will promt you to create a back up of the account which will be stored on the desktop. The back up will include favourites, pictures, videos, music and document folders and the name of the backup will be the name of the user account for example ‘intruder’. If you wish to back up the files click on ‘Keep files’ or delete files if you don’t need the files.
The finally click on ‘Delete Account’.
Finish, you’ve successfully remove PC user account.
